We are seeking an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the operations of multiple private residences for a family with properties in the Southeastern U.S. and the Northeast. This role requires a seasoned household professional with strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and exceptional discretion. Regular travel between residences is required, with private housing and transportation provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple private residences, ensuring consistent standards of appearance, cleanliness, and functionality.
  • Supervise, train, and manage household and groundskeeping staff with professionalism and discretion.
  • Oversee property maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and ongoing improvement projects.
  • Source, vet, and manage household vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Develop and coordinate staff schedules, assign projects, and inspect completed work to ensure standards are met.
  • Maintain household inventories, organizational systems, and routine operating budgets.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of private events and formal gatherings.
  • Provide concierge-level support to family members, including personal assistance and special requests.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance and provide occasional driving support as needed.
  • Travel between residences and adjust work location seasonally.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure seamless household operations at all times.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in estate or household management within a private residence.
  • Proven ability to manage staff, vendors, and multiple properties with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as household needs require.
  • Ability to travel to secondary residences as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to provide occasional transportation for principals.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor required.
  • Stable work history with verifiable references.
