We are seeking a Manager of Business Applications to lead technology-driven process improvements across core business platforms for a leading construction material supplier. This role focuses on optimizing the use of existing software systems—particularly in accounting and HR—by evaluating workflow needs, aligning cross-functional teams, and managing implementation projects from planning through adoption. The ideal candidate brings experience with ERP systems, proficiency in cloud-based tools, and the flexibility to travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and select appropriate solutions.
- Develop documentation and user training materials to support adoption.
- Partner with IT and corporate leadership to align system strategies with business goals.
- Assess current workflows and identify areas for automation or system enhancement.
- Lead projects focused on business systems integration and optimization.
- Manage full project lifecycle including planning, testing, implementation, training, and documentation.
- Ensure new applications and modules are properly integrated with existing systems.
- Monitor software updates and evaluate new features for potential use.
- Provide occasional support for data analysis and reporting needs.
- Drive use of cloud-based tools and data reporting platforms.
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation and assist with audit readiness.
- Communicate project timelines, progress, and risks to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, computer science, IT, or a related field.
- Experience leading software implementation or business systems projects.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAGE, CommandAlkon, or Sysdyne.
- Basic understanding of accounting functions like AP and AR.
- Skilled in cloud integration tools and document systems such as OnBase.
- Experience in manufacturing or construction industries preferred.
- Knowledge of reporting tools like Power BI, Birst, or Cognos is a plus.
- Familiar with accounting and HR system workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to create training content and user documentation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working across teams and managing multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel 10–20%.
Compensation
- $100,000 to $120,000 plus bonus.
