We are seeking an experienced Estate Manager to oversee the operations of multiple private residences for a family with homes in the Southeastern U.S. and the Northeast. This role requires a hands-on, service-oriented professional with exceptional organizational skills and discretion. The Estate Manager will be responsible for household staff, property maintenance, vendor coordination, and ensuring seamless daily operations while upholding the highest standards of service. Travel between residences is required, with private accommodations provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and manage household and groundskeeping staff to ensure efficiency and discretion
- Oversee all aspects of property maintenance, including scheduling repairs, inspections, and renovations
- Source, vet, and manage vendors, ensuring high-quality service and cost efficiency
- Maintain household inventories, track supplies, and implement organization systems
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and oversee household accounts
- Ensure household security protocols are followed and manage guest and service provider access
- Coordinate formal dining and beverage service, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation
- Plan and facilitate private events, including managing logistics and coordinating with external vendors
- Provide concierge-level assistance to principals, including personal requests and travel arrangements
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and scheduling, with occasional driving responsibilities for the principals
- Ensure all household operations run smoothly, anticipating the needs of the principals
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role within a private residence
- Proven ability to manage staff, vendors, and household operations with professionalism and discretion
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and overtime as needed
- Ability to travel to secondary residences as required
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to provide occasional transportation for principals
- Successful completion of a background check
- Stable work history with verifiable references
