We are seeking candidates for the role of Director of Communication at a leading professional services firm in the Jackson metro area. Reporting to the Director of HR, this position involves developing and implementing communication strategies that reinforce the firm’s image and mission, while actively engaging key stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have outstanding leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively. As the firm’s voice, the Director of Communication will expertly guide public perception and foster a unified internal culture in line with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and refine the language in training materials for clarity and effective application.
• Create comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) for the IT department.
• Strategize and execute communication plans that correlate with the firm’s objectives.
• Prepare and distribute press releases, requiring CEO approval.
• Generate internal newsletters, memos, and publications to share news and updates.
• Oversee the management of the intranet system and validate departmental content accuracy.
• Develop strategies for internal communication to boost employee engagement and morale.
• Collaborate with senior management to integrate communication strategies with business plans.
• Maintain the firm’s brand identity across communication channels.
• Manage the digital presence, including website, social media, and email marketing.
• Develop crisis communication plans for emergency situations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in communication, public relations, marketing, or related field.
• Excellent writing and verbal skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Proven senior-level experience, with a history of developing and executing effective communication strategies.
• Proficient in communication tools, social media management, and analytics.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with team mentoring capabilities.
• Strategic thinking ability, translating complex concepts into clear messages.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

Compensation:

• $60,000 to $65,000 + bonus
