We are seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to manage and analyze detailed invoices for housing related services in NYC. This role involves extensive data analysis and communication with various stakeholders. The position is full-time and onsite in lower Manhattan, set to last 6 months with an expected extension. The target start date is August 1.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough second-level reviews of detailed invoices from vendors supporting housing/shelter services.
• Lead a team to analyze large data sets for duplicates, irregularities, and excess charges.
• Lead a team to verify that all charges are approved, reasonable, and necessary.
• Review and prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on invoice analysis.
• Lead meetings with vendors to discuss outstanding items, findings, clarifications, and required credits.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to streamline the invoice review process.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all invoices and related communications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting. CPA a plus but not required.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and ability to handle large data sets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
• Ability to lead a team of analysts.
• Experience with financial auditing and regulatory compliance.

Compensation:

• Pay rate: $40/hr. 
• PTO and access to health benefits are available.
