We are seeking candidates for an onsite Financial Reporting Manager for a financial sector client in the Jackson metro area. This key team member will have an active role in financial reporting and analysis, month-end closing, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections.
Responsibilities:
- Perform financial and operational analysis to support decision-making.
- Compile monthly statistical and financial reports.
- Manage the month-end close process.
- Analyze budget-to-actual financial results monthly.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as needed.
- Extract and organize data to support reporting and analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations.
- Develop models, analytics, and assumptions for the loan portfolio.
- Prepare and support the annual budgeting process.
- Improve processes for combining data across systems to support management reporting.
- Communicate analysis results and key findings to leadership.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to enhance use of operational metrics within the accounting system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- CPA designation is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate or public accounting roles with a focus on financial reporting and technical accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel.
- General knowledge of and experience with data extraction tools.
- Exceptional math and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
- $70,000 - $80,000, depending on experience.
