We are seeking a Benefits and Workers’ Compensation Specialist for a professional services firm. This role combines the tasks of benefits administration and workers’ compensation auditing, requiring meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in payroll processes. Responsibilities include monthly reconciliations, assisting with benefit enrollments and terminations, and providing support to the payroll department during peak times. This position is onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile employee benefit plans within payroll software and spreadsheets monthly.
- Assist agents with coverage enrollments and terminations.
- Adjust payroll system for premium collection or refunds as needed.
- Pay client bills related to employee benefits.
- Support payroll department with payroll runs during peak periods.
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel) and HRO software for various tasks.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit adjustments and reconciliations.
- Handle inquiries related to benefits and workers’ compensation from employees and agents.
Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher
- Basic Excel skills, including formulas.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and their effects on benefit deductions.
- Capability to perform reconciliations using pre-established spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Basic payroll knowledge preferred; training will be provided.
Compensation:
- $22-24/hour, depending on experience
