We are seeking a Senior Manager of Finance for a professional services firm in Ridgeland, MS, to enhance its accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, focusing on developing financial processes, controls, and reporting systems. This role involves strategic oversight of accounting functions and the implementation of financial strategies to support the firm’s goals. The Senior Manager will lead financial operations, offer insights for decision-making, and drive financial performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and refine accounting operational strategies, aligning with the firm’s objectives and enhancing financial processes and controls.
  • Direct the accounting department’s structure and operations to meet organizational goals.
  • Manage the consolidation of financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance in reporting.
  • Facilitate the preparation and review of financial statements, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors.
  • Provide critical financial insights to aid in managerial decision-making.
  • Administer the annual budgeting process, identifying areas for financial improvement and process innovation.
  • Review and upgrade accounting and internal control systems, assessing the effectiveness of current accounting software and databases.
  • Establish and track key business performance metrics, and manage regulatory and tax reporting requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a large corporation or major company segment.
  • Professional services industry background, with expertise in project-based financial structures like T&M, fixed fee, and milestone billing.
  • CPA or CMA certification is required.
  • Deep understanding of financial principles, market analysis, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in financial management, with a strong grasp of accounting operations including payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
  • Exceptional project management skills, capable of delivering results within tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with NetSuite or equivalent financial systems.

 

Compensation:

  • $125,000 to 150,000
  • Exceptional benefits package
