We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Development for a prestigious interactive nonprofit organization. This role is a cornerstone for the organization, playing a significant part in shaping strategic planning goals and overseeing extensive development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead diverse fundraising activities including direct solicitation, grants, capital campaigns, and sponsorships.
- Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan in alignment with the approved budget.
- Secure financial support from a variety of sources: individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities.
- Foster and maintain relationships with major donors and lead the Development team.
- Collaborate with the Education Department to manage program sponsorship and grant applications.
- Advocate for the organization at state and federal levels and manage development-related events.
- Engage with fundraising volunteers and partners to increase awareness and donor base.
- Plan and organize donor appreciation events and initiatives.
- Develop and oversee donor communications, including working with the Marketing Department on donor-focused materials.
- Administer the donor database, ensuring efficient data entry and gift processing.
- Create engagement strategies for visitors and staff to support the mission.
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer on financial reporting, planned giving, and endowment strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 3 years of experience in management, non-profit, or fundraising.
- Proven track record in strategic fundraising plan development and implementation.
- Proficiency in Altru donor management software or similar CRM systems, with strong skills in database management.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including public speaking.
- Strong project management abilities, with expertise in handling multiple projects and proficiency in digital fundraising strategies and social media.
- Excellent organizational, managerial, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape and emerging fundraising trends.
- Commitment to making meaningful contributions in a non-profit environment.
Compensation:
- $65,000 to $85,000
